  • 4 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or brioche work great)

  • 4 slices of ham (deli-style or leftover baked ham)

  • 2–4 slices of cheese (Swiss, cheddar, provolone, or your favorite melt-friendly cheese)

  • 2 tsp Dijon or yellow mustard (optional)

  • 2 tbsp butter or mayo (for spreading on bread)

  • Optional add-ons: tomato slices, pickles, caramelized onions
