Here’s a juicy and flavorful recipe for Asparagus-Stuffed Chicken Breast — tender chicken breasts filled with crisp asparagus, melty cheese, and bold seasonings. It’s low-carb, keto-friendly, and perfect for dinner!


🥩🧀 Asparagus-Stuffed Chicken Breast

📝 Ingredients

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 8–10 asparagus spears, trimmed

  • 4 slices of mozzarella, provolone, or Swiss cheese

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil

  • Toothpicks (to secure the chicken)


👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the chicken:

  • Butterfly each chicken breast (slice lengthwise without cutting all the way through).

  • Open like a book and gently pound to even thickness if needed (about ½ to ¾ inch).

2. Season:

  • Season both sides of chicken with garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

3. Stuff the chicken:

  • Lay 4–5 asparagus spears inside each breast.

  • Top with 2 slices of cheese per breast.

  • Fold over and secure edges with toothpicks.

4. Sear (optional but recommended):

  • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Sear chicken for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown. This helps lock in flavor and adds color.

5. Bake:

  • Transfer seared chicken to a baking dish or oven-safe skillet.

  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18–22 minutes, or until internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C).


✅ Air Fryer Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

  • Lightly oil the basket or tray.

  • Place stuffed chicken in the basket and air fry for 16–20 minutes, flipping once halfway through.

  • Check for 165°F internal temp.


🧀 Optional Add-Ons

  • Parmesan crust: Sprinkle grated Parmesan on top before baking.

  • Creamy sauce: Serve with garlic butter or a drizzle of Alfredo.

  • Wrapped version: Wrap stuffed chicken in bacon for extra flavor and crispiness.
